        The Assembly met at 9 A.M. The day was devoted to transaction of Private Members' Business.

1. QUESTIONS :

Unstarred questions Nos. 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41 were replied to

2. Shri D.D. Lapang, M.L.A. called the attention of the Minister Revenue under Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly on the question that " Assam Govt. has issued an eviction notice to the whole village of Pilangkata on 15th instant and that they should leave the place within 15 days.

        Shri B.B. Lyngdoh, Minister, Revenue made a statement on this before the House.

3. MOTION :

        Prof. M.N. Majaw moved his motion " This House does now discuss the progress and development of the Bhoi area " and initiated discussion on this. The following Members participated in the discussion on the motion : Sarvashri D.D. Lapang, M.LA., Dlosingh Lyngdoh, M.L.A., R. Lyngdoh, M.L.A., Prof. P.G. Marbaniang, M.L.A., Reidson Momin, M.L.A., G. Mylliemngap, M.L.A., H.S. Lyngdoh, M.L.A., and S.P. Swer, M.L.A.

        Shri B.B. Lyngdoh, Minister incharge made a reply on the motion.

        Shri W.Syiemiong, raised a half-an-hour discussion under Rule 49 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly on a matter arising out of answers to unstarred question No.5 on the 25th March, 1974 on the subject " non-receipt of pay of the P.W.D. staff of Mawsynram-Sub-Division".

        Shri D.D. Pugh, Minister incharge P.W.D. made a reply on this.

ADJOURNMENT:

        The House was then adjourned at 1.25 P.M. to meet again on Monday, the 1st April, 1974 at 9 A.M.
