The Assembly met at 9 A.M. with the Speaker in the Chair.
Unstarred Questions Nos.3, 4, 5 and 7 with supplementaries thereto were disposed of. Replies to Unstarred Questions No.6 & No.8 were laid on the members' table.
Shri S.D. Khongwir (HSPDP), called the attention of the Minister, Supply, under Rule 54 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business to a news item in the Assam Tribune of March 3, 1976, captioned :
" Ghost Village Detected ".
The Minister of Supply, Shri E. Bareh, made a statement and also replied to a number of supplementary points which were raised after the statement.
Shri Jackman Marak (APHLC), who was to resume his speech on the Motion of Thanks was absent when his name was called out by the Chair.
The following members participated in today's debate and spoke either for or against the Motion of Thanks, and, while doing so, brought forward various suggestions aimed at the welfare of the State as a whole, for the consideration of the Government.:

As there was no member who was willing to speak for the remaining five minutes only, the Chairman, Shri G. Mylliemngap, who was then presiding, adjourned the House at 12.55 P.M. to meet again at 9 A.M.
