The Assembly met at 9 A.M. with the Speaker in the Chair.
Unstarred Questions No.9 - 11 with supplementaries thereto were disposed of.
Shri B.B. Lyngdoh, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Member, Rules Committee, announced the Report of the Rules Committee seeking amendment of Rule 11 and proviso to Rule 131(2) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Assembly, which was duly circulated to the Members. Thereafter he moved the following motion in accordance with Rule 260(2):
|" This House agrees with the Reports of the Rules of Committee for amending Rules 11 and 1341 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Assembly".|
The motion was unanimously adopted by the House. The Hon' ble Speaker proposed that the said Rules as amended should come into effect from Wednesday, March 17, 1976, to which the House consented.
The following Members, who spoke either for the Motion of thanks or for the amendment to the Motion of thanks participated in to-day's debate:
