       The Assembly met at 9.30 A.M. with the Speaker in the Chair.

1. QUESTIONS :-

        Starred Question No.1 standing in the name of Shri Jor Manick Syiem and duly authorised to be put by Shri H. Hadem was disposed of with supplementaries thereto.

2. DISCUSSION ON SUPPLEMENTARY DEMANDS FOR GRANTS AND SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION FOR 1975-76 .

        Shri F.K. Mawlot (HSPDP), wanted to raise a general discussion on the Supplementary Demands for grants and Supplementary Appropriation for 1975-76.

        The Speaker observed that since it was not the practice in the House to raise general discussion in the Supplementary Demands for grants without prior notice to the Speaker, the hon' ble Member could instead do better by participating in the discussion on the Cut Motions which had been tabled, if he so desired.

3. VOTING ON SUPPLEMENTARY DEMANDS AND SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION FOR 1975-76.

        The House passed all the Supplementary Demands for Grants ( No. 21 ) unanimously. The Cut Motions tabled in respect of Supplementary Demands No.1-2, No.4, No.7, No.10, No.16 and No.19 were either not moved or withdrawn by leave of the House or ruled out of order by the Speaker.

4. THE MEGHALAYA APPROPRIATION (NO. 1) BILL, 1976.

        The Meghalaya Appropriation (No.1) Bill, 1976, in respect of the Supplementary Demands for Grants and Supplementary Appropriation for 1975076 was introduced in, and passed by, the House unanimously.

5. PRESENTATION OF BUDGET ESTIMATES FOR 1976-77

        The Minister for Finance, Shri B.B. Lyngdoh, presented the Budget Estimates of the Government of Meghalaya for the year 1976-77. He commenced his budget speech at 11.27 A.M. and concluded it at 12.03 P.M.

6. ADJOURNMENT:

        The House was adjourned by the Speaker to meet again at 9.30 A.M. on Saturday, March 20, 1976.
