        The Assembly met at 10 A.M. with the Deputy Speaker in the Chair.

1. QUESTION HOUR :

        There was no question for reply.

2. EXCESS GRANTS FOR 1977-78 :

        The Excess grants for 1977-78 (Nos. 1-10) were passed without any discussion.

3. THE MEGHALAYA APPROPRIATION (NO.1) BILL, 1981 :

        The Meghalaya Appropriation (No.I) Bill, 1981 relating to the Excess Grants for 1977-78 was introduced by the Minister incharge of Finance, Shri Maham Singh.

4. VOTING ON SUPPLEMENTARY DEMANDS FOR GRANTS FOR 1980-81 :

        The Supplementary demands (No.1-24) were passed by the House. All the cut motions in respect of demands Nos. 12 and 14-19 were guillotined at 2 P.M. under rule 144 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business. The Cut Motions on demands Nos.1, 4 and 9-11 were withdrawn by the movers after adequate reply by the Ministers concerned.

5. THE MEGHALAYA APPROPRIATION (No.II) BILL, 1981 :

        The Meghalaya Appropriation (No.II) Bill, 1981, relating to the Supplementary Demands for Grants for 1980-81 was introduced by the Minister for Finance, Shri Maham Singh.

ADJOURNMENT :

        The House rose at 2.10 P.M. to meet again at 10 A.M. on Friday, March 6, 1981.
