        The Assembly met at 10 A.M. with the Speaker in the Chair.

1. QUESTIONS :

        Starred question No.24 was not put as the questioner was absent.

        Unstarred questions Nos.332-341 were disposed of.

2. ZERO HOUR :

        Shri Meckenson Sangma expressed great concern at the recent dacoity cases in the border areas of West Garo Hills as a result of which the villagers were panic-stricken.

        The Deputy Chief Minister informed the House that 42 suspects were lately held in connection with 15 cases of dacoity in the Garo Hills border areas and that police patrolling had been intensified to deal with the situation.

3. VOTING ON DEMANDS FOR GRANTS :

        The House passed grants Nos.47-50. All the Cut motions in respects of Grants Nos.47-49 were withdrawn after adequate reply by the Ministers concerned. Cut motion on Grant No.50 was not moved, while the discussion on Cut motion against Grant No.51 was inconclusive for want of time.

ADJOURNMENT :

        The House was adjourned till 10 A.M. on Tuesday, March 24, 1981.
