        The Assembly met at 10 A.M. with the Speaker in the Chair.

12. QUESTIONS :-

        Written replied to Unstarred Questions No. 55 to No. 63 were furnished to the members.

2. LAYING OF REPORTS ETC. :-

        (i) Shri Medistasr Warbah, Minister for Cooperation laid the Annual Report and Accounts of the Meghalaya State Warehousing Corporation for the year, 1982-83.

        (ii) The Minister for Finance, Shri D. D. Lapang, laid the Notification No. DCA.135/83/37, dated 29.2.84 relating to the assumption  of the administration of Primary Education, including Primary Schools in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District, by the Governor, with reasons therefore, on behalf of the Chief Minister.

3. STATEMENT BY MINISTER :-

        The Minister for Finance informed the House that the Government had decided to extend the period of taking over of the administration of Primary Education, including Primary Schools, in the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District, by the Governor, for a further period of six months with effect from March 24,1984.

4. VOTING ON SUPPLEMENTARY DEMANDS FOR GRANTS :- 

        The House passed Supplementary Demands for Grants No. 1-No.4. The Cut Motions in respect of Grants No. 1,No 2 and No. 4 were either withdrawn or put to voice vote and lost.

        The discussion on Cut Motion No.1 (clubbed with No. 2) was inconclusive for want of time.
