 The House met at 10.00 am on the 21^st  April, 2008 with the Hon’ble Speaker in the Chair. The day was devoted for the transaction of Government Business.

 1. QUESTIONS:

            Starred Questions from 24 to 28 were disposed of.

 2. DEBATE ON GOVERNOR’S ADDRESS:

            Dr. P. Kongjee, Shri R. V. Lyngdoh, Shri L. Rymbui, Shri Charles Pyngrope, Dr. R. C. Laloo, Shri F. W. Momin, Shri A. D. Marak, Shri Adolf Lu Hitler, Dr. D. D. Lapang participated in the Debate on Governor’s Address. They dwelt at length on the functions of the Police Department, Agriculture and Horticulture Department, Power Department, Health Department, Forest Department, P. W. Department, Tourism Department, Industries Department, Education Department, Transport Department, Fisheries Department and C & R. D. Department.

 3. REPLIES TO THE DEBATE ON GOVERNOR’S ADDRESS:

            At the outset, the Chief Minster thanked the mover of the Motion of Thanks and the mover of the Amendment to the Motion of Thanks. Various points raised by the participants had been successfully replied to. For those points which had not been covered during the course of his replies, assured them that they had been noted down by the departments for examination.

            The Amendment to the Motion of Thanks was later withdrawn by the mover and the Motion of Thanks was, therefore, passed without any dissenting note.

The House rose at 2.40 p.m. and will meet again on Tuesday, the 22^nd April, 2008 at 10.00 a.m.
