GOVERNMENT  BUSINESS

1.    Shri. B.B. Lyngdoh, Chief Minister to present the Budget Estimates for 1998-99.

2.    Shri. B.B. Lyngdoh, Chief Minister to present the Vote-on-Account Budget for the first quarter of the Financial year, 1998-99.

3.    Shri. B.B. Lyngdoh, Chief Minister to move:

     "That an amount not exceeding Rs.304,33,29,463 (Rupees Three hundred and four crore, thirty three lakhs, twenty nine thousand four hundred sixty three) be granted to the Governor in advance to defray certain charges in respect of different Department during the first quarter of the financial year ending 31st March, 1999 under Grants shown in the on Account Budget, 1998-99.

(a) Shri. B.B. Lyngdoh, Chief Minister to beg leave to introduce the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Bill, 1998;

(b) if leave be granted to introduce the Bills.

5.    Shri. B.B. Lyngdoh, Chief Minister, to move :

     "That the second proviso to Rule 72 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in its application to the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Bill, 1998, be suspended for the time being in so far as the rule requires circulation of the Bill four days in advance before the motion for consideration may be moved."

(a) Shri. B.B. Lyngdoh, Chief Minister to move that the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Bill, 1998, be taken into consideration.

(b) Consideration of the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Bill, 1998, clause by clause.

7.    Shri. B.B. Lyngdoh, Chief Minister to move that the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Bill, 1998 be passed.

8.    Shri. Martle N. Mukhim, Minister, Power to lay the Annual Financial Statement (Budget Estimates) of the Meghalaya State Electricity Board for the year 1998-99.

9.    Prorogation.
