GOVERNMENT  BUSINESS

1.    Questions.

2.    Dr. MUKUL SANGMA, Minister-in-charge Taxation to lay the Meghalaya Tax on Luxuries (Hotels and Lodging Houses) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2002.

3.    Dr. MUKUL SANGMA, Minister in-charge Taxation to lay the Meghalaya (Mobile Phone Connection) Cess Ordinance, 2002.

4.    Shri. A.H. SCOTT LYNGDOH, Minister in-charge Finance to present the Budget Estimates for 2002 - 2003.

5.    Shri. A.H. SCOTT LYNGDOH,  Minister in-charge Finance to present the Vote-on-Account Budget for the first quarter of the Financial Year, 2002 - 2003.

6.    Shri. A.H. SCOTT LYNGDOH, Minister in-charge Finance to move :-

   "That an amount not exceeding Rs.469,90,81,432 (Rupees four hundred sixty-nine crores, ninety lakhs, eighty-one thousand, four hundred thirty two) be granted to the Governor in advance to defray certain charges in respect of different departments during the first quarter of the financial year ending the 31st March, 2003 under grants shown in the On-Account Budget 2002 - 2003".

 

7. (a) Shri. A.H. SCOTT LYNGDOH, Minister in-charge Finance to beg leave to introduce the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Bill, 2002.
  (b) If leave be granted to introduce the Bill.

8.    Shri. J.D. RYMBAI, Minister in-charge Parliamentary Affairs to move :-

      "That the second proviso to sub-rule (c) of Rule 72 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in its application to the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Bill, 2002 be suspended for the time being in so far as the rule requires circulation of the Bill four days in advance before the motion for consideration may be moved".

 

9. (a) Shri. A.H. SCOTT LYNGDOH, Minister in-charge Finance to move that the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Bill, 2002 be taken into consideration.
  (b) Consideration of the Bill clause by clause.

 

10. Shri. A.H. SCOTT LYNGDOH, Minister in-charge Finance to move that the Meghalaya Appropriation (Vote-on-Account) Bill, 2002 be passed.

 

11 (a) Dr. MUKUL SANGMA, Minister in-charge Taxation to beg leave to introduce the Meghalaya Tax on Luxuries (Hotels and Lodging Houses) (Amendment) Bill, 2002;
  (b) If leave be granted to introduce the Bill.

 

12. (a) Dr. MUKUL SANGMA, Minister in-charge Taxation to beg leave to introduce the Meghalaya (Mobile Phone connection) Cess Bill, 2002;
