Sir, the operative parts of the order was that the State Government shall hold the election of Shillong Municipal Board after preparing fresh electoral roll by the month of April, 1998.

(b) Sir, the total expenditure for construction of Tura Market is Rs.6,07,70,140/-

(c) What is the achievement of Shillong Development Authority and the Meghalaya Development Authority?

(c) Sir, the Shillong Development Authority constituted during March, 1990 was re-named as Meghalaya Urban Development Authority in 1991.
The achievements are as follows:-
(i) Enforcement and development control as per approved Master Plan for Shillong, Tura and Jowai.
(ii) Survey of Schemes area in Shillong and Tura.
(iii) Physical survey of land already acquired for setting up of New Township for Shillong.
(iv) Socio-Economic Survey of the settlements within the New Township. 
(v) Functioning as Nodal Agency for setting up of the Township.

Children Park at Ampati

(b) The amount of Rs.60,000.00 was sanctioned vide letter No.ENV.17/93/Pt.I/31 dated 27.3.97, but the amount could not be drawn due to late receipt of sanction by the Drawing and Disturbing Officer. The sanction has not been renewed there after.

5-Teacher Norm

Assistance to People of Shella/Ampati

(c) Because they are paid a fixed pay of Rs.1000/- p.m. and treated as Casual employees.

 

Tura Government College

(b) If the reply to (a) above is in the affirmative, what are the steps proposed to be taken to solve the problem?

 

(b) The new 3 storeyed comprehensive Building is nearly completed. Electrification works are being done. The water connection will be taken up soon. Then the Accommodation Problem will be solved.

Extension of NH. 37
