Opening Permission

(a) Whether it is a fact that Government have given opening permission to the Zinjiram Higher Secondary School at Rajabala in West Garo Hills?

(a) Yes, Sir, conditional opening permission has been given.

 

(b) Whether it is also a fact that the above school will be attached to the existing Deficit High School of Rajabala after two years?

(b) Yes, Sir, this is one of the conditions laid down while granting the Opening permission.
 

(c) Whether Government have taken the Managing Committee of the said Rajabala High School into confidence while taking such decision or, intimated the Managing Committee in question of the fact?

(c) The Managing Committee of Rajabala High School will be consulted and informed in due course.

 

Construction of Foot Bridge

Electrification Scheme

(a) Whether there is any scheme for electrifying the following villages under Umsning C & RD Block during 2000-2001 and 2001-2002?

  (a) Yes, Sir, except Amjong village and Umtyrkhang.

iii. Lamalong village.    
iv. Ja-ir village.

(b) Electrification of Umsiang Maiong, Lamalong, Ja-ir, Lumniwar, Laitsyiar, will be taken up during 2001-2002 under State Plan Scheme.

   

      Ingsaw, Mawlaho, Pamlaban are villages declared electrified. Restoration work shall be taken up shortly.

D.A. to Government Servants

(a) Before Government granted D.A. to Government Servant, what are the factors taken into consideration?



 

 

(a) Dearness Allowance is granted to compensate Government employees for the erosion of the real value of money income due to the rise in the cost of living. Grant of Dearness Allowance is linked to the All India Consumer's Price Index for Industrial Workers (1982 = 100) with index average of 306 as the base, Sir.

(b) How much percentage Government had granted D.A. to the Government Employees recently?

  (b) 44%, with effect from 1.1.2001, Sir.
 

Construction of Road

Drinking Water for Malki-Nongthymmai

Sir, the areas under Malki-Nongthymmai constituency falling within Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme are likely to get potable drinking water by 2003, on completion of the distribution system and on construction of Dam subject to availability of fund.

Up-gradation of School
