(a) Whether the Department has called tender for construction of Umtrai-Umbi Road under Shillong North Division, Nongpoh?

C.M. Development Fund

(a) The name of the Scheme and the amount earmarked from the Chief Minister Development Fund since it was introduced upto date.



 
  (a) Sir, the names of the Schemes are (i) Chief Minister Special Rural Development Fund (CMSRDF) and (ii) Chief Minister Special Urban Development Fund (CMSUDF). The total amount earmarked during 2000-2001, the year of introduction was Rs.400 lakhs for CMSRDF and Rs.100 lakhs for CMSUDF. The same amount has been earmarked for each scheme during 2001-2002.
(b) The name of the Scheme already got sanction and implemented and the name of the scheme already approved but yet to get sanction.   (b) A statement is placed on the Table of the House.

 

Opening permission to Secondary Schools

Transportation of Industrial products

(a) Whether the existing Industrial Units and other commercial units at Byrnihat do not have to pass through the existing taxation Check-gate at Byrnihat for transportation of their products outside the State?   (a) Yes, Sir.


 
(b) If the reply to (a) above is in the affirmative, the method adopted to realise to sales tax etc. for the products being transported outside the State by the Industrial units.
 
  (b) Industrial Units whose products do not pass through the main checkgate at Byrnihat, are being monitored by the Officers at the Byrnihat checkgate who check daily the movement of goods from the Industrial Units at the old Byrnihat checkgate.

Awangga Irrigation Project

Fly-over bridge

(a) Whether the Government has given permission to the Woodland Hospital for construction of Fly-over bridge?

 

(a) & (b). Sir. The Shillong Municipal Board had given permission for the construction of Woodland Hospital Annexed, which included construction of over bridge, on 1.7.98. The permission was subsequently withdrawn on the instructions of the Government.
