(a) Whether the PMGSY Schemes is being implemented in the State?   (a) Yes, Sir.
 
(b) How many villages will be connected?   (b) 98 Nos.
(c) How many Kms. have been taken up in the current year?   (c) 266.15 Km.
(d) The amount available and earmarked for the Schemes?   (d) Rs.3500.00 Lakhs.

International Boundary Pillars

*38. Will the Minister-in-charge, Revenue be pleased to state :-    
(a) How many Bugai Rivers are there in Meghalaya and the locations?

 
  (a) There are two such rivers, known either as Bugai/Bhugai or Bugi rivers. One river is near Dalu in the West Garo Hills District and the other is in Naya Bazar in the east Khasi Hills District.
(b) Whether the International Boundary Pillars with Bangladesh have been washed away by both the Bugai Rivers?

 
  (b) No Boundary pillars were washed away by the Bugai river in West Garo Hills District, but some Boundary pillars were washed away by the Bhogai river which is in East Khasi Hills District.
(c) If so, whether the matter has been communicated to the counterpart?
 
  (c) The matter will be taken up in the coming Indo-Bangladesh Boundary Conference, as per present practice.

(ii) No. of posts advertised for which last date fixed as 28.6.2002 - 111 posts.
(iii) Post pending for interview - 17 posts.
(iv) Post under process for conducting interview - 24 posts.
(v) Oral interview to be conducted - 73 posts.
(b) How long have they been pending?   (b) This varies from post to the other.
(c) When are they likely to be filled up?
 
  (c) As soon as the process of conducting the Interview are completed.

Railway Head

(a) The latest position of the Railway Heads in Meghalaya?







 
  (a) Sir, the Railway Ministry has informed that a Reconnaissance Engineering-cum- Traffic survey for construction of a new railway line from Azra in Assam to Byrnihat in Meghalaya (30 Km) has been sanctioned and further consideration of the project would be [possible once survey report is ready. As regard Dudhnoi-Depa railway line, the matter is under examination, due to objections received from the local people.
(b) Whether it is a fact that the people of Depa area have opposed the construction of Railway Head at Depa?   (b) Yes, Sir.

Fund for S.R.W.P. & C.R.R.P.

*42. Will the Minister-in-charge, Community & Rural Development be pleased to state :-    
(a) Whether the fund for the S.R.W.P. and the C.R.R.P. for the year 2002-2003 will be released soon after the current Budget Session?   (a) Sir, funds for S.R.W.P. and C.R.R.P. for the year 2002-2003 will be released as soon as the schemes are sanctioned.
(b) If so, the amounts of S.R.W.P. and C.R.R.P. to be released per Rural and the Urban Constituencies respectively?





 
  (b) S.R.W.P. Rs.30,00,000/- (Rupees thirty lakhs) per Rural Constituency and Rs.15,00,000/- (Rupees fifteen lakhs) per Semi Rural Constituency.
C.R.R.P. Rs.4,28,571/- (Rupees four lakhs twenty eight thousand five hundred and seventy one) per Constituency, both Rural and Semi Rural Constituency.
S.R.W.P. and C.R.R.P. are schemes for rural development. No amount is provided by C & R.D. Department for Urban Constituencies.

Fly-overs

Nongchram Upper Primary School

(b) The actions to be taken by the Government?
 
  (b) No action has been taken as the Headmaster is reported to be attending to his duties regularly.

Shillong By-pass

R.M.A. Road at Mangsang

(a) Whether the Government has received any complaint lodged against the present S.D.O., P.W.D. (R) alleging that the (S.D.O.) had drawn a huge amount of public money at R.M.A. Road at Mangsang?   (a) Yes, Sir.


 
(b) If so, the contents of the complaints?
 
  (b) A report is being called from Addl. Chief Engineer, Western Zone.
(c) The appropriate actions proposed to be taken?   (c) Action will be initiated on getting the report.
