Anti-Rabies Vaccine

(b) If the answer to (a) above is in the affirmative, the names of the hospitals or health centers which are being supplied with the vaccine?   (b) Vaccines are being supplied to the hospitals in the State and the District Medical and health Officers on their demand.

Rongai Valley Medium Irrigation Project

Billing system

*138. Will the Minister in charge Power be pleased to state whether the system of billing, by changing the duration from monthly to bi-monthly has been introduced by MeSEB?
 
      No, Sir. However, due to the shortage of staff in Shillong Revenue Circle, 3 (three) billing zones out of 13 (thirteen) billing zones are being billed bi-monthly instead of monthly. This is being done by rotation in the different zones on a purely temporary basis.

Bamundanga Irrigation Project

(d) The original estimated amount of the Project?   (d) Rs.58.50 Lakhs.

(f) If so, how many times and the amount paid to the contractor?   (f) Once only i.e. Rs.66,62,750/-

Rangsokana Water Supply Scheme

(b) if the answer to (a) above is in the negative, the reason thereof and since when?   (b) The scheme is not functioning due to damage of Deep Tube Well since January, 2002.
(c) When was the Scheme sanctioned?   (c) The scheme was sanctioned in September, 1978.

Fire Brigade Station

(c) Whether Government has received offer of land to construct the Fire Brigade Station?   (c) No, Sir.
 
(d) If not, whether the Fire Brigade Station will be started in the rented house, if rented house is found available for the purpose?   (d) Does not arise in view of replies to (a) and (b)  above.

 

Dengnakpara Irrigation Project

(a) Whether the Irrigation Project of Dengnakpara is functional?   (a) No, Sir.

  (b) The earthen embankment on the upstream left hand side of the headwork was damaged by flash floods which occurred during 2002 and 2003.

Police Out Post

(a) The Area of the Tikrikilla Police Out Post?   (a) The total area covered under the jurisdiction of Tikrikilla Out Post is 330sq. kms. with population of 49,198 (approx).
(b) The Quantum of criminal activities under the said Out Post?   (b) The quantum of criminal activities under the said Out Post for the last 5 (five) years is :

(c) Whether the meagre staff of the Out Post is sufficient to control the crimes of the area?   (c) The sanctioned strength of the present Out Post is :-

            The above staff are found sufficient to control normal crimes. However, since the areas within Tikrikilla Out Post is contiguous to Assam border and infested with insurgent activities, the Out Post has been augmented by posting of the following additional staff :
    (i) 1 company CRPF under the charge of 1 Asstt. Commandant and
    (ii) 1 Platoon of 2nd MLP Battalion under the charge of 1 ABSI assisted by 1 ASI and 1 H/C from District Headquarter, Tura.
(d) Whether it is a fact that there is frequent public demand to upgrade the POP to full fledged Police Station?   (d) No, Sir.

 
(e) If so, the action initiated by Government in this regard?   (e) Does not arise in view of (d) above.
 

Ajogar Irrigation Project

(a) Whether the Ajogar River minor Irrigation Project at Photamati is completed?   (a) No, Sir.

  (b) Re-construction and Renovation of Ajagar FIP is yet to be started.
(c) The amount paid to the contractor till date?   (c) No payment has been made to the contractor till date.
(d) How many times the revised estimates have been made against the Project?   (d) No revised estimate has been prepared for the Project.
(e) Whether work of the Project is completed?   (e) No, not yet completed.
(f) If not, the reason thereof?
 
  (f) The progress of the work is in suspension because of the pending court case.
