(a) Yes, Sir. Khasi & Garo Languages have been recognized and notified as Associate Official Languages of the State. |

(b) If so, when? |
(b) The Meghalaya State Language Act, 2005 received the assent of the Governor on the 1st May, 2005 and published in the Gazette of Meghalaya Extra Ordinary issued dated 4th May, 2005. Copy of the Notification is placed on the Table of the House. |
