(a) Sir, the Government is yet to take a decision.

(b) The reason why the government is unable to take a decision on the matter?

(b) The application of UCIL on Uranium mining is under scrutiny by the Deputy Commissioner, West Khasi Hills.

 

Recruitment of Primary Teachers

(a) The reason for abnormal delay in filling up the post of Primary Teachers?



(a) Sir, there is some delay in filling up the vacant posts of Primary Teachers as the Government is in the process of implementing the new recruitment procedure which will bring about improvement in the quality of Education in the State.

(b)The reason for frequent changing of procedure for recruitment of Primary Teacher?


(b) The reason for change in the procedure for recruitment of Primary Teachers is because the Government is committed to provide quality education and therefore is making every effort to ensure that the standard of education is improved through proper selection of teachers.



Mylliem Baniun Irrigation Project

(a) The reason why the department has not repair the Mylliem Banuin Irrigation project for the last 2 years?

(a) Sir, Mylliem Baniun Irrigation Project could not be repaired for the last two years due to inadequate Budget provision.

(b) The action the Department propose to take for future use of this project by the farmer ?



(b) The Department has already taken up immediate repair of the critical portion of the Headwork and Canal System whereby, the project has become partially functional. However, the Department has proposed to take up major improvement works and the proposal is being processed during the current financial year.



Acquisition of land at Russel Street

(a) (I) Sir, the Land at 9-10 Russel Street was acquired by Government of West Bengal for Government of Meghalaya from Royal Calcutta Turf Club, Kolkata in the year 1976.

(a) The procedure for selection of BDC and BSC members in th C &RD Block is laid down in Government’s 2 (two) Office Memoranda No. CDD. 404/ 90/Pt. Dt. 19th September, 2005.

(b) The authorized person to select such members from the Block?

(b) & (c) BDC & BSC members are appointed by the Government Office Memoranda, keeping in view the proposals and suggestions received from the MLAs, MDCs, individuals and organizations, etc.

(b) Sir, Amongst other the likely implications for not holding the election is non-release of central fund under the Centrally Sponsored and Centrally Assisted Scheme such as Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM), Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY), National Slum Development Programme(NSDP) etc.

Treatment of Incurable Diseases

(a) The number of cases of incurable diseases has been reported/treated in various PHCs and CHCs for the people of those areas Uranium deposit is available in West Khasi Hills?

(a) No, report  of such diseases received Sir. A recent survey conducted by the Government in the area indicated that no unusual or rare cases were encountered, and cases of chronic endemicity were not detected. On the whole, the people in the area enjoy good and healthy lives.

(b) Whether it is a fact that prevalent of such diseases is due to the presence of Uranium deposits ?
(c) If so, the steps the Government has taken?

Vacant Posts of L. P. School Teachers

(b) Recruitment of regular teacher normally takes some time and in order to ensure that students do not suffer because of unavailability of full time regular teachers, adhoc appointments have been made as a temporary measure to fill up the vacancies

(c )The monthly salary of such adhoc Teacher?

(c ) The monthly salary of adhoc teacher is Rs. 1500/-p.m.

(a) The Nazareth Hospital and Tura Christian Hospitable are recognised by the Indian Nursing Counsel, on receipt of No Objection Certificate from the State Government.

(b) If so, whether it is a fact that the Government has turned down the application for the post of ANM on the ground that the applicant has passed out from the Tura Christian Hospital.

(b) Applicants passing out from the said Hospital are eligible for appointment, subject to availability of posts.

(c ) Whether it is a fact that the Government has appointed some GNM and ANM from Guwahati, Assam?

(c ) There are cases where local candidates who had passed GNM/ANM from Guwahati, Assam had been appointed by Government.
